Michigan scandal, Wolverines pressure, and Tigers frustration headline a busy rundown

It's time for your daily rundown on Thursday, September 10th. It's to get you up to speed with everything that happened yesterday and what's to come today

Unfortunately, the news from Melrose, not the only depressing story when it comes to our local hockey teams

We do also have to report on the Michigan scandal that was just announced yesterday. This hockey program now under scrutiny after accusations have been announced regarding this team and sexual harassment and sexual hazing dating back to 1984 and 2001

I'll be straightforward with you. We have got the articles posted. Just go check them out

This isn't a piece that I'm here to give you my personal opinion on, my personal stance

I'm not here to tell you what I think is right and what's wrong, what's true and what's false

That's going to come out at a later time. Right now, it's just my job to report the accusations have been made

Make sure you check out the article for all the details. All we can do at this point is wait and see what comes out

and also hope and pray that if there was misjustice, justice ultimately gets served

Now let's talk about some more lighthearted stuff, because in college football, both teams have got a game this weekend

Michigan's got Oklahoma, MSU has got Eastern. We'll start off with those Wolverines, because there's so much confusion going on there

It started off with Michigan being favored at home against Oklahoma and ranked

After their performance last weekend Michigan is neither They are no longer ranked and they are no longer favored They are the home underdogs There is so much confusion going on with this program and that actually extends to

the quarterback because he's actually unaware with the fact that his job is not secure

Such a funny story. Make sure you check it out. Glenn's got it posted, but reporters had to inform

Underwood that his head coach, Whittingham, he announced that his job is not a lock

and slap my face and call me a pilgrim, you don't say

That's a surprise to nobody except for Bryce Underwood. He seemed very caught off guard with that

I don't know why he was because that performance against Western was unforgivable

And I think this shot against Oklahoma will be his last chance

People are already clamoring for Carr. If the Michigan Wolverines lose this game, I think they will

I think the plug could be pulled very, very soon when it comes to Bryce Underwood

This game against Oklahoma reminds me so much of 2024. You remember when they started off that season with that kind of ugly win against Fresno

Now, I say it was an ugly win compared to what we saw this past weekend. That's more like Sidney Sweeney sunbathing on a beach

I don't know what this showing against Western was. That's more like maybe Betty White sunbathing on a nude beach

And she's been dead for what, five years? Still, I bet you that sack of bones still has more life in her than Bryce Underwood does

That's beside the points, guys. That game against Fresno was ugly. Then they got slaughtered by Texas

I kind of getting the same vibe here It was an ugly outing against Western I think it going to be a brutal absolute slaughter Oklahoma lays it on to Michigan That my prediction for this weekend when it comes to

the Wolverines. MSU, they've got the opposite of West. They've got East. Eastern Michigan

taking on the Spartans this weekend. MSU favored by 17.5. Spread or not, I do think MSU comes away

with the win. Starts their season off 2-0. Bravo to them. Now let's shift gears. I do want to touch

a little bit on the NFL because their season just kicked off last night and I'd say it kicked off

with a dud. Do want to talk a little bit about the debut. It was Seattle and the Patriots. Ugly

game. Not much to report on it. 13-10. Seahawks get the come from behind win and players were

dropping like flies in that one. You had Sam Darnold going down in the first quarter. Drake May

his stock just dropped. It didn't get injured. Maybe his pride did. Three picks thrown late in

the game, including one to end it in the end zone when they were an easy field goal range

That was a bad game. If you do want to stay up to date, though, with some Lions news

we do have some articles out there from Glenn where people are just praising Jameer Gibbs

From Amon Roth St. Brown to scouts, Jameer Gibbs, he is the running back to watch this year in the

league. I think he's going to finish the season as the very best running back in the NFL. Big

things to come from him, especially the first few weeks, considering there is no Pacheco

Now guys, let's shift gears one more time going to baseball because the Tigers finally did it

For the first time in seven attempts they win a series They beat the Twins yesterday and this is a team where a lot of you have been coming at me for I have been critical on them because they have played absolutely terrible the last several weeks

It was a few weeks ago they were actually hunting for a playoff spot, now six and a half back

I'm not going to sit here and pretend they're any good. Now some of you are coming at me saying I'm not a real fan because I'm not buying into the rest of the season

I'm done with this team. That's fine. I'm not here to tell you how to be a fan

If you just want to sit back, kick back, relax and watch a Tiger game, not caring that this team is mediocre on their best day, that's on you

But I have higher standards for this team. To me, this team and this season has been an absolute letdown

I'm not even going to pretend they have a shot at the playoffs. They're not statistically eliminated, but out of my heart and mind, they are knocked out indefinitely
