As you guys know, we have not come to an agreement with Jalen Dern to this point
0:06
He has until Thursday to make a decision, and we will be excited to have him in regardless of what decision he does make
0:14
He was a huge reason for our success the last two seasons
0:20
Had a tremendous season individually last year as well. and we believe he will do the same thing this year upcoming
0:28
and are excited to have him back when he gets back. We'll integrate him and he's going to have a fantastic season
0:35
regardless of his decision, but we look forward to getting him back. And just another thing, as I've said in the past two years
0:44
and I will say again, I will not be talking about negotiations in the media
0:48
I've done that all summer and it will not change here today. So with that, I'll open it up
0:54
Craig, did you answer the reports that a sign and trade is definitely not going to go into the end at all
1:02
I will not. Nothing that goes into negotiation. How about if he does decide to do the one-year deal
1:10
how do you make that a good thing for him and the team and not have a disgruntled player
1:15
Again, regardless of what his decision is, what we can control, it's the way that we welcome him in when he makes that decision
1:24
He's going to be a huge part of the team regardless of which decision he does make. He will be a Detroit Piston
1:30
And we'll do everything we can to support him and get the best version of him
1:34
which is what we've done the past two years, and that will not change. Those are things that we can control
1:39
His decision is not important that we can control
